Born from the world of endurance racing, the Ferrari 499P represents the relentless pursuit of performance, efficiency, and engineering excellence.
Now you can bring that racing spirit to your collection with this highly detailed 1:8 Ferrari 499P 2025 Le Mans Endurance #51 Hypercar MOC.
With an extraordinary 4,749 pieces, this build goes significantly beyond the typical 3,000+ pieces found in many 1:8-scale models. The result is an exceptionally intricate model with a deeply detailed internal structure and a rewarding construction experience designed for experienced builders.
This is not a conventional step-by-step building set.
As a MOC set, it includes the complete collection of parts and stickers required to construct the entire vehicle, but there is no paper instruction manual and no step-by-step subcontracting.
Instead, a PDF instruction manual is provided.
The construction process is therefore best suited to builders who already have experience with complex building models and are comfortable working through a more advanced MOC-style assembly process.
For experienced builders, that complexity is part of the appeal.
The model includes a complete redesigned sticker set created specifically to reproduce the appearance of the 2025 Le Mans Endurance #51 Hypercar.
The racing graphics add the finishing layer to the aerodynamic bodywork, transforming the completed model into a striking endurance-racing display piece.
Every decal works together with the aggressive proportions and aerodynamic surfaces to give the finished 499P its unmistakable racing identity.
The front and rear suspension systems have been redesigned with new shock absorbers and new wishbones, adding substantial mechanical detail beneath the bodywork.
The suspension components are integrated into the model's structure rather than simply serving as visual decoration.
Combined with the HOG steering system, they give the front end a more authentic mechanical character while making the model enjoyable to interact with after the build is complete.
At the center of the model is a detailed V6 engine, paired with a 7-speed gearbox.
The gearbox features a paddle-shift system with a limiter at 7th gear, reflecting the operating concept of the real race car.
But there is an interesting twist to the controls.
The gear knob positioned on top of the dashboard can be used to change gears, while the paddle shifters operate independently:
This creates a mechanical interaction that goes beyond simply building a gearbox — it gives the cockpit a genuine sense of driver control.
The model incorporates a HOG (Hand of God) steering system, allowing the front wheels to be controlled through an accessible steering mechanism.
It provides a convenient way to position the car during display while adding another functional element to the finished model.
The doors are opened through the gear knob mechanism, using a worm-gear-based system.
Rather than relying on a simple hinged movement, the gear-driven mechanism gives the doors a more distinctive mechanical operation.
Turn the mechanism and watch the doors open — another small engineering detail that makes the 499P feel like a machine rather than a static model.
The sidepods feature integrated lights controlled through an on/off switch based on light bricks.
These lights are designed to indicate the position number, adding an extra layer of detail to the exterior and giving the model a more dynamic appearance when displayed.
The lighting is especially effective against the model's endurance-racing bodywork, helping highlight its distinctive sidepod design.
Despite the complexity of the model, the vehicle incorporates reasonably easy-to-detach modules, allowing major sections to be separated when needed.
This modular approach makes it easier to access the detailed internal structure and provides builders with a closer look at the engineering hidden beneath the exterior.
Once assembled, the removable sections also make the model more interesting to explore from different angles.
The cockpit is filled with the kind of small details that reward close inspection.
Look closer and you'll find seat belts, radiators, mechanical components, structural elements, and numerous smaller details throughout the vehicle.
These details help complete the endurance-racing character of the model and contribute to the sense that you're building an entire race car rather than simply reproducing its exterior shape.
With 4,749 pieces, this 1:8 Ferrari 499P sits firmly in the advanced-building category.
The combination of a highly detailed internal structure, redesigned suspension, V6 engine, 7-speed gearbox, independent paddle-shift controls, worm-gear doors, lighting system, modular construction, and complete racing decal package makes this a project intended to be savored.
PDF instructions are included. Paper instructions and step-by-step subcontracting are not included.
We recommend this model for experienced builders who enjoy challenging MOC projects and highly detailed automotive models.

The 1:8 Ferrari 499P 2025 Le Mans #51 MOC is built for the enthusiast who wants more than a simple display model.
